Automation 101: Wire a Temperature Sensor

Sensing the temperature of a room—especially one that people seldom enter, like a server room—is one of the most common applications for an automation system. Monitoring temperature data and alarming or logging it could save tens of thousands of dollars of damage and down time.

An ICTD temperature probe is one of the easiest ways to get started with temperature monitoring. With just two wires, the probe, and an ICTD input module, you can not only monitor temperature but also import data into software or cloud applications.
